Niet Jerez, maar Abu Dhabi lijkt de rol van gastheer op zich te nemen. De young driver-test is de enige testmogelijkheid voor het einde van 2010 en er mogen alleen coureurs deelnemen die maximaal twee Grands Prix achter hun naam hebben. Vorig jaar vond die sessie plaats in de eerste week van december op het circuit van Jerez, maar Abu Dhabi is nu de favoriet voor de test. De teams willen van dinsdag tot en met donderdag na de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi, verreden op 14 november, testen op Yas Marina Circuit, zo schrijft Adam Cooper in zijn blog. Dat zou namelijk goedkoper zijn omdat het personeel en het materiaal al ter plekke zijn. De Zwitser met Indiase roots neemt namens de renstal deel aan de young drivers-test op het circuit van Jerez. Gisteren werd bekend dat Paul di Resta eveneens voor Force India in actie komt tijdens die test. Jani was in het verleden al testrijder bij Sauber en Scuderia Toro Rosso. Motorsport Aktuell bericht dat Force India in Jerez mogelijk ook gebruik gaat maken van de diensten van Karun Chandhok.  A new survey shows 32 percent of young drivers admit to text messaging on a phone or mobile device while behind the wheel, according to a Local 6 News report.
 The amount of drivers sending text messages while driving is being blamed for several serious crashes in Florida and throughout the country. The investigation featured marketing specialist Ben Laurro who reads and sends text messages while driving.
 "I look and then I look at the road and then I look and make sure I'm spelling (the message) correctly," Heather Radi said.
